"Jawan" is a high-octane action-thriller that unfolds against the backdrop of corruption and social injustice in India. Azad's motive is to negotiate with the government for the release of ₹40,000 crores to aid impoverished farmers facing crippling debt.
Azad, played by Shah Rukh Khan, reveals his true name as Vikram Rathore to the arms dealer Kalee Gaikwad when Kalee's daughter Alia, one of the captives, questions their intentions.
